Do you have a passion for hairdressing? Learn the latest hairdressing techniques and gain experience in The Hair and Beauty Lounge. Women’s and Men’s Hairdressing is a fast moving, fashion orientated industry, releasing your creative and artistic talents.
Hairdressing in an essential part to the world of Fashion and Beauty and at West Lancashire College we have designed programmes to support you into the industry.
Our Level 2 evening Hairdressing course aims to provide students with a range of essential practice skills and knowledge, which will ultimately help you to seek employment or further training.
Students must be able to work effectively with others and be willing to carry out and receive all treatments. All students must display a positive attitude, be prepared to work as part of a team and have excellent attendance.
West Lancashire College will also accept credits previously gained through the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF).
What will I achieve?
If you successfully complete this course, you will receive a Level 2 Diploma in Hairdressing (City & Guilds).

Where can I progress?
This is a nationally recognised qualification. Students who successfully complete Level 2 Diploma in Hairdressing may progress to the Level 3 in Hairdressing, or Barbering.
