Art and Design students at West Lancashire College are preparing to showcase their creative talents at the college’s highly anticipated end-of-year Art Exhibition, and they’re inviting the local community to come along and see their work.

The exhibition will take place at the College’s Skelmersdale campus, opening with a special evening event on Wednesday 10 June from 5.30pm to 7pm. This celebratory launch is free and open to the public, offering a wonderful opportunity to explore an impressive range of student creations.

Visitors can expect to see a diverse collection of work, including fine art, photography, fashion, film, graphics and illustration. Each piece highlights the imagination, skill and originality of this year’s cohort.

For those unable to attend the launch, the exhibition will also be open to the public on Tuesday 16th and Wednesday 17th June, from 4pm to 7pm.

Lecturers Louise Curran and Gary Owens shared their enthusiasm: “We’re really proud of everything that our students have achieved this year. We always aim to put on as professional a show as we can in order to prepare students for university and for working in the industry. The variety of work in the show is fantastic and is testament to the creative imagination of our students and the ability of our staff to assist them in making their ideas a reality.”
