Multiply is a new government-funded programme to help adults improve their numeracy skills, and West Lancashire College, in partnership with The Lancashire Colleges and Lancashire County Council, are delighted to offer a series of courses, the first covering how to ‘manage your budget.’

The Multiply programme is all about building confidence when handling money, household bills and can help you to understand things like bank accounts, loans and mortgages. If you’re aged 19 and over, live in Lancashire and don’t have a maths GCSE at grade C (or equivalent), you can access free numeracy courses to build your confidence with numbers and even gain a qualification if you wish.

From helping children with homework to budgeting better, having a good foundation of numeracy skills can help in everyday life.

Many employers look for maths and numeracy skills, so boosting yours can help you to unlock new job opportunities. It could also help you to progress on to higher levels of free training to secure a new role.

The first online session ‘Manage your Budget & Finances’ will take place on Thursday 20th April from 5.30pm-7pm or Tuesdays 6.30pm-8pm.
