The Level 3 course in Beauty Therapy is designed to give you all the skills required to become a professional Beauty or Spa Therapist.
You will learn about working with colleagues in the beauty industry, health and safety, customer care, as well as communication and promoting products/services. As well as the course content, you will also develop your knowledge of anatomy and physiology to help with understanding as to how the body works and the effects these treatments will have on the main body systems.

Where can I progress?
Upon successful completion of the course, students may wish to progress to Entry in Employment, Higher Education including Degree Apprenticeship or an Apprenticeship.

Course costs
If you are 16-18 years old, you do not have to pay course tuition fees.
If you are 19 or over, please call Learner Services to confirm the fee for this course. Course costs may be subject to change.

Adult Funding Changes
Due to changes in Government funding from 1st August 2019, students who resident in some postcodes in Merseyside and Greater Manchester may be unable to access funding from training providers and colleges in Lancashire and may have to pay all associated course and support costs.
Please note, this does not include courses that are paid for by Advanced Learner Loans.

Claire Procter
Beauty Therapy LecturerI have been in the Spa and Beauty industry for more than 20 years. I completed my training at Skelmersdale College and enjoyed every minute of it. My career started working on board a cruise ship as a Spa and Massage Therapist. This enabled me to travel around the world visiting many countries doing the job I love. After this I lived and worked abroad finally returning to the UK being self-employed. I have worked at West Lancashire College for 19 years and teach level 1 – 4 in beauty therapy. This is a growing and ever-changing industry where there is always new treatments and techniques to learn. Being a teacher is very rewarding especially when seeing the learners achieve their qualifications and move on to employment within our industry
