The Level 3 course in Beauty Therapy is designed to give you all the skills required to become a professional Beauty or Spa Therapist.
You will learn about working with colleagues in the beauty industry, health and safety, customer care, as well as communication and promoting products/services. As well as the course content, you will also develop your knowledge of anatomy and physiology to help with understanding as to how the body works and the effects these treatments will have on the main body systems.

Course costs
If you are 16-18 years old, you do not have to pay course tuition fees.
If you are 19 or over, please call Learner Services to confirm the fee for this course. Course costs may be subject to change.

Adult Funding Changes
Due to changes in Government funding from 1st August 2019, students who resident in some postcodes in Merseyside and Greater Manchester may be unable to access funding from training providers and colleges in Lancashire and may have to pay all associated course and support costs.
Please note, this does not include courses that are paid for by Advanced Learner Loans.

Meet our Beauty students and tutors
Claire Procter
Beauty Therapy LecturerI have been in the Spa and Beauty industry for more than 20 years. I completed my training at Skelmersdale College and enjoyed every minute of it. My career started working on board a cruise ship as a Spa and Massage Therapist. This enabled me to travel around the world visiting many countries doing the job I love. After this I lived and worked abroad finally returning to the UK being self-employed. I have worked at West Lancashire College for 19 years and teach level 1 – 4 in beauty therapy. This is a growing and ever-changing industry where there is always new treatments and techniques to learn. Being a teacher is very rewarding especially when seeing the learners achieve their qualifications and move on to employment within our industry

I joined Steiner Transocean and became a senior spa therapist on board their luxury cruise liners, before turning to teaching for the last 13 years. Beauty Therapy Level 2 StudentI am currently studying the Beauty Therapy Level 2 at West Lancashire College. My teachers Claire and Sam are excellent and they’re extremely very caring towards their students. I will be moving onto Level 3 in September, as well as getting a placement in the industry. My goal is to work on cruise ships, which my course is helping me work towards.
