Counselling Skills Level 3Before enrolling on this course, I had already completed a Level 2 Counselling Skills qualification through another online provider, which I successfully passed. Building on that foundation, I wanted to further develop my studies and gain a deeper understanding of key counselling skills and principles. The course helped me expand my knowledge and provided valuable insight into the mindset of a counsellor, allowing me to think more deeply about how counselling skills can be applied in a wide range of situations. The learning experience has not only strengthened my understanding of the profession but has also equipped me with transferable skills that will benefit me in any future studies or career path I choose to pursue. Overall, the course has given me greater confidence in my abilities and has supported my ongoing personal and professional development.

Counselling Skills Level 3The course content and teaching supported my development exceptionally well. The clear explanations of person-centred counselling and Carl Rogers' core conditions, including empathy, congruence and unconditional positive regard, helped me understand not only what to do, but why these skills are so powerful. This was particularly meaningful to me because I had personally experienced the importance of genuine empathy and non-judgemental listening during my own recovery journey. The regular role-plays, skills practice and opportunities to observe others, supported by Ayaz, were invaluable in helping me practise and gradually become more confident and natural in using these skills. Throughout the course, I noticed significant growth in my abilities and confidence. The course has given me a solid foundation in key counselling skills, including active listening, empathy, congruence and the use of core conditions. The materials were clear, easy to follow and well structured, and the tutor support was responsive and highly valuable throughout. I now feel much more confident in applying counselling skills and am motivated to continue my development. I am actively exploring volunteering opportunities with charities and considering further study through a Level 4 Diploma or counselling degree as I work towards a professional role in the field. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the course and found it to be an incredibly positive learning experience. I would wholeheartedly recommend NCG and this course to anyone looking to begin their journey in counselling, and I am grateful for the opportunity it has provided.
