Counselling Skills Level 2My professional background is in equality, diversity and inclusion, as well as wellbeing. I have worked within the NHS and the charity sector, and have also volunteered in services supporting LGBTQ+ communities. In my current role, I work within a team of counsellors, where our shared focus is helping young people who are facing a wide range of difficulties and challenges. When I started the course, my goal was to learn new ways of supporting the young people I work with and to help achieve better outcomes for them. The course was well paced, and I never felt rushed at any stage. As someone with ADHD, I found the reasonable deadlines helped keep me accountable, while the support from my tutor was available whenever it was needed. Through completing the course, I feel I have developed a stronger range of counselling skills and am now equipped with an even better toolkit to support the young people I work with. Overall, the course has helped me build on my existing experience and enhanced my ability to make a positive difference to those who need support.

Counselling Skills Level 2I chose to study the Counselling Skills Level 2 course because it was something I genuinely wanted to do to help myself and others. With the lack of funding for mental health support, this course gave me the opportunity to make a difference for those in need. The application process was very straightforward, and once I completed the initial questions, I was ready to start learning. Throughout the course, my tutor provided clear, helpful feedback, guiding me where needed. Each section had a deadline, which encouraged me to prioritise my work and stay on track. I thoroughly enjoyed studying this course and would absolutely love to take another one in the future.

Counselling Skills Level 2I have become more confident in my communication and active listening skills, enabling me to build stronger therapeutic relationships with the people I support. I thoroughly enjoyed the course and found it both engaging and rewarding. It has strengthened my confidence and reinforced my interest in pursuing further counselling qualifications.

Nutrition and Health Level 2I graduated from Further Education after studying Catering and Hospitality for two years. I worked in a bakery for one year before joining the food industry. This is where I saw the magic happen! I have now been there for four years and have seen new product creations and the variety of roles there are in the food world. I was recently promoted to Section Leader. For me, the main aim was to understand the health and nutrition benefits associated with the food we eat. The course content was understandable and packed with knowledge to help achieve the learning outcomes. Looking forward, it has helped me progress further in my knowledge and in everyday use. I am now completing Higher Education, with a career goal of progressing within the food industry into Technical or NPD roles.
