West Lancashire College invites members of the local community to attend their final Open Event of the 25-26 academic year, on Thursday 30th April and you can drop in anytime between 4.30pm and 7pm.
As an award-winning institution, West Lancashire College offers a wide range of courses, including T Levels, BTECs, Technicals, Apprenticeships and Foundation Learning, which have been designed to help students progress to their next steps – University, full-time employment or an Apprenticeship.
Those attending the event will have the chance to explore the College’s state-of-the-art facilities, including newly upgraded digital suites, a realistic hospital ward for Health and Social Care students and a fully equipped simulated primary classroom for those studying Early Years Education. Visitors can also experience a range of specialist learning spaces, such as The School of Science, Advanced Construction and Engineering Centre, Sports Massage Suite and Rehabilitation Centre, plus the incredible Hair and Beauty Lounge.
Throughout the evening, the College’s Student Ambassadors will be on hand to guide you around the campus, whilst support staff will be available to provide information about the free college coach service for those travelling from Wigan, Kirkby, Maghull, Burscough and Southport, plus talk you through the wide range of academic and financial support available to students.
In addition to exploring the courses on offer, guests can take part in have a go activities, sample freshly prepared food from the Hospitality and Catering team, and also find out about the college’s wide range of enrichment opportunities, including their brand-new Football Academy, wellbeing initiatives and the exceptional support that is in place to help every student thrive!
