Across the country, colleges are marking Colleges Week from 9th-20th October and West Lancashire College will be joining in with the celebrations by showcasing the amazing skills their students develop when they study a further education course.

Around 1.6m students are educated in further education colleges across the UK, and this annual event is an opportunity to showcase the breadth of opportunities colleges provide and the ways in which they transform lives and communities.

Colleges Week focuses on the important role that colleges play in developing local skills to make an impact both locally and nationally in key sectors and on the lives of individuals.

Claire MacLean, Acting Principal at West Lancashire College said, “we are delighted to be able to celebrate the achievements of our students as part of Colleges Week 2023. I would like to thank each and every one of our staff for the incredible work that they do to ensure our students leave us with the skills required to enter their chosen career.”
