West Lancashire College proudly hosted its annual Freshers Fair, bringing together new and returning students with employers, community organisations, universities and a bundle of exciting opportunities. At the event students had the opportunity to explore career pathways, support services, volunteering opportunities, and progression routes, as well as sign up for a range of clubs and activities to enjoy throughout the 26-27 academic year.
The Atrium was transformed into a vibrant exhibition space, with universities, employers and local organisations on hand to speak with students about their future aspirations and the many opportunities available to support them throughout their college journey. Students were also treated to plenty of freebies including snacks kindly provided by PepsiCo.
In addition, College staff showcased the wide range of clubs, societies and enrichment activities available throughout the academic year. From lunch club, to walking club, to dance club, to the highly regarded Student Ambassador programme, students discovered plenty of opportunities to develop new skills, build friendships and enhance their college experience beyond the classroom.
ASDA, Bannatyne's, Birchwood, Comfort Call, Compass Bloom, Edge Hill University, Explorers and Duke of Edinburgh, Friends of Tawd Valley, Future Works, Green Parts, Heinz, Job Centre Plus, Liverpool John Moores University, Police Cadets & Community Police, Samaritans, Sexual Health, Smoking Cessation, TF Jones, UA92, University of Cumbria, University of Lancashire, We Are With You, West Lancs CVS, and WLBC Community Connector and Wellbeing Office attended the event, providing students with valuable information, advice, and opportunities relating to employment, higher education, health and wellbeing, volunteering, and community engagement.

The event was a resounding success, setting the tone for another exciting academic year filled with opportunities, experiences and personal development for students at West Lancashire College.
