Former West Lancashire College student Dylan has been celebrating after taking part in his passing out ceremony as he joins HMS Raleigh.
Dylan’s success follows his completion of BTEC Public Services Level 3 at West Lancashire College where he achieved triple Distinctions. Dylan progressed to join the Royal Navy and train as a Weapons Engineer in June this year.
A former Lathom High School pupil, Dylan returned to West Lancashire College last week to brief new students and his former tutors about his experiences in the Navy and life after college in the armed forces.
Dylan’s course co-ordinator, Mike Cooney said, “my congratulations goes to Dylan who’s work whilst in college was commendable. Dylan demonstrated high quality leadership skills particularly in teamwork and communication activities, demonstrating excellent command structure in briefing and debriefing colleague tasks. This incredible achievement is undoubtedly down to Dylan’s attitude towards his goals and he has a great career ahead of him. Fantastic Dylan, well done.”
