West Lancashire College invite members of the community to join them for their final Open Event of 2023, where a very warm welcome awaits you!
The local college is home to A Levels, BTECs, Technical, T Level, Apprenticeships and a huge range of adult courses that can be studied in person or online, and prides itself on providing the perfect start to a students’ journey towards university, employment, or further training for a career change.
At the event, you will be able to explore the campus and chat with staff and Student Ambassadors about student life at West Lancs! There will also be plenty of fun have a go activities and demonstrations for visitors, all aimed to give a flavour of each subject area and future careers.
For those who are interested in sports and nutrition, the college have a brand-new bike challenge where your pedal power will create a delicious smoothie, for budding bricklayers there will be opportunity to point a wall, and for future motor enthusiasts you can test yourself on the mechanics of their hybrid electric car!
You can stroll around the hi-tech campus on a guided tour courtesy of a Student Ambassador where you can take a look at the newly refurbished Hospital Ward, Digital Suite and Early Years Primary setting, The School of Science, Advanced Engineering & Construction Centre, and the many other fantastic teaching spaces.
Plus, The Hair and Beauty Lounge will be open with opportunity for you to book in for treatments with trainee Hairdressers and Beauty Therapists at a fraction of high street costs.
