T Level Business and Engineering students from West Lancashire College had a fantastic experience at the University of Cumbria, where they explored future career and study opportunities.

Their day began with a warm welcome from Tilly Clough, one of the Outreach Officers at the University, before taking part in engaging sessions that focused on confidence building within the Business industry and the exciting process of creating a drone, as well as understanding the engineering aspect of it.

Throughout the sessions, the students received valuable insights into the degree programmes offered at the University of Cumbria, the structure of each year of study, as well as their upcoming Open Days.

A highlight of the visit was a guided campus tour, before concluding the day with inspiring talks from Willow, a current student studying Primary Education: Inclusion with SEND with QTS, who spoke in great depth about the student life whilst studying at Cumbria University, the enrichment clubs and the best that the local area had to offer. Lancashire FutureU were also on hand at the end of the day to answer any questions.

The College would like to extend their thanks to the University of Cumbria team, their student ambassadors and FutureU for their time and support in making the day very informative and enjoyable.
