West Lancashire College recently hosted a T Level Education and Early Years Networking meeting for teachers and assessors across the region.

The purpose of the meeting was to create a space where colleagues could join together to share best practices, discuss the delivery of T Levels and explore some of the complexities around observations, assessments, and placement expectations. It was also a wonderful chance to build working relationships between colleges and support one another on the T Level journey.

Hosted by Kerrie Clarke, Mell Watkins and Megan Hall, Early Years tutors at the College, one of the key focuses was to explore the different approaches to the delivery of T Levels and identify opportunities to strengthen consistency and quality across the sector. Mark Adrian from NCFE also attended the event and offered insight from an awarding-body perspective.

Kerrie Clarke, one of the Early Years tutors said, “Bringing providers together is essential for strengthening the quality and consistency of the Education and Early Years T Level delivery. The network meeting was a great success and allowed us to share our expertise with one another, to reflect on any challenges we’ve faced and to celebrate the excellent practice that is already happening across the sector. We were delighted to host colleagues, and we can’t wait to continue building a strong and collaborative community for Education and Early Years.”

The college would like to express thanks to colleagues from Bolton College, Accrington & Rossendale College, Carlisle College, Ashton Sixth Form College, Calderdale College, Nelson and Colne College, as well as Blackburn College for attending the first event.
