We're so excited to be able to offer you a T Level course.
T Levels are a new alternative to A Levels, apprenticeships and other 16-18 courses. Equivalent to 3 A Levels, a T Level focuses on vocational skills and can help you progress into skilled employment, higher study or Apprenticeships.
What are T Levels?
T Levels are a brand-new vocational qualification, designed to give you all of the skills you need for your future. They’re a 2-year qualification designed in collaboration with employers to bring classroom lessons and work experience together.
On a T Level, you’ll spend 80% of your time in the classroom and 20% on a work placement to make sure you develop all of the skills and experience that employers are looking for. This means that whatever your next step is, a T Level will help you to step straight into your chosen career, an Apprenticeship or a degree.

What can I study?
Management and Administration (Business) Level 3 T Level
Our T Level in Management and Administration is a two-year course designed for students who want to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to succeed in the management and administration sector.

Design and Development for Engineering and Manufacturing (Engineering) Level 3 T Level
On this 2-year course, students will spend most of time in college learning the theoretical and practical skills you will need and develop an understanding of a broad range of issues relevant to the sector.

Frequently asked questions
Do I have to study a T Level?
No, we still offer other vocational options for students aged 16-19 years old that will allow you to progress to higher study, apprenticeships or employment, as well as Apprenticeships of all levels.
Where can I progress after completing a T Level?
T Levels are equivalent to three A Levels, so you can progress to wherever you would like to go.
You can choose to progress to a degree or other higher study, an Apprenticeship or straight into skilled employment.
How are T Levels different to A Levels?
T Levels are designed to provide you with the practical skills you need, whilst A Levels focus more on the theory.
One T Level is equivalent to three A Levels and you will be awarded UCAS points. This is because on a T Level, you study 1 subject with different pathways, in order to gain in depth knowledge and skills in your chosen area.
Each T Level is a two-year programme and includes an industry placement that lasts at least 45 days. You will spend 80% of your time in the classroom learning the skills that employers require and the 20% in industry, putting these skills into action to gain real experience.
How are T Levels different from Apprenticeships?
T Levels are designed to bring classroom learning and work experience closer together and you will spend 80% of your time in the classroom learning the skills, with the other 20% spent in the workplace putting them into practice.
This is different from an Apprenticeship, where the focus is more on workplace training. On an Apprenticeship, you will spend 80% of your time in a real, full-time job, with 20% of the time spent in a classroom being supported.
When can I start my T Level course?
We are accepting applications from September 2022, in which you will begin the course in September 2023.
What qualifications do I need to study a T Level?
You will usually need around 4 GCSEs at Grade 5 or above, including English and Maths in order to study a T Level.
