Cashless Campus

West Lancashire College is a cashless campus, this is to help reduce administration and cash handling and to allow students to reduce the amount of cash they carry to college.

To support those students who may not have access to a debit card, all students will have the option to use a new online payment system – iPayImpact

I don’t / my child doesn’t have access to a debit card

We understand that some of our learners may not have a debit or credit card of their own that they can use to pay for meals on campus.

All learners have the option to use our new online payment system – iPayImpact.

This will allow learners, or their parent or carer, to pre-load cash onto an account that can be used at college catering facilities on campus.

What if my child receives a bursary?

If a learner currently receives a bursary that entitles them to a meal entitlement of £4.50 per timetabled day, they will continue to receive this.

If a learner wishes to purchase additional items which exceeds the allowance, they will be able to pay for these by adding funds to the iPayImpact account or by using a debit card or other contactless method at the till.

To access bursary entitlement or use an iPayImpact account, simply provide a Student ID number to the colleague at the counter.

How do I set up an iPayImpact account?

In order to use the iPayImpact website you will need your own unique reference number which has been emailed to your college account on 28 November 2024.

If you have not previously registered on the site, go to https://www.ipayimpact.co.uk and follow the steps below:

Click Register.
Enter the Account Ref.
Emter a username that you will remember. This will be required each time you log in to the account.
Enter a valid email address and then confirm it by entering it again in the second box.
Enter a password and then confirm it by entering it again in the second box.
Answer the simple maths question.
Tick the box next to Agree to Terms. You can view the terms as required.
An email will be sent to your email account. To activate your iPayImpact account click on the link provided in the email. This will activate your account and allow you to log in using the credentials you entered during the registration process.
Login to your account, update your profile (personal information) and click save.

How do I make a payment to my / my child’s iPayImpact account?

From the home page, click Add to Basket.
Select and enter the amount you wish to pay.
Proceed to Checkout.
You will receive an email receipt of your payment once it has been authorised.

How do I use my / my child’s iPayImpact account on campus?

In order to use the funds in your iPay account, you need to provide your student ID number to the member of staff at the till. This will allow you to use the fund in your iPay account to pay for the items you wish to purchase.

I already have an iPayImpact account for another child at a different school or college. Can I link the accounts?

Yes, you can do this by following the steps below:

LOGIN to your account.
Click on the Child Accounts tab.
Click the link A New Child Account button.
Enter the Child Account Ref for the child – see this letter or other similar letter.
Click Find School and Account – select the school from the list (if offered).
Click the Link Account Button.
