Best Year Ever!

An award winning year for West Lancashire College!

Building

Last year was an amazing year for West Lancashire College, and the achievements of our students and staff make us exceptionally proud every day.

We were delighted to be National winners of the Prince’s Trust Community Impact Award, our Performing Arts students won Best Male Actor in the Under 21 Youth Category at the Leverhulme DRAMA Festival, our Business Apprentice Jack Baybutt won Intermediate Apprentice of the Year, our Advice & Guidance team have recently been awarded with Matrix Accreditation for Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance and we ended the year with a celebration of achievement and success with our Oscar style annual Principal’s Awards.

The college, as a  division of national training and Colleges group, NCG, are delighted to have recently become the first college in the UK to be able to develop and award its own Honours and Masters Degrees.

It has been a bumper year for students progressing onto University with many achieving triple D* Distinctions. This year has also seen the return of Apprenticeships to the college and we are delighted to be working with, and supporting our local and regional employers.

This year we have continued to invest in education for the people of West Lancashire and beyond.  We have recently launched The Francesco Graduate Hairdressing Salon, and will shortly be opening a brand new training restaurant – The Works, both of which provide fantastic facilities in which our students can gain industry standard skills and experience.

There has never been a better time to join West Lancashire College, we are experts in vocational education and Apprenticeships and have a wealth of experience to enable students to fulfil their potential and achieve ambitious goals.  Join us today and Be your Best!
